New years!
It was a great new years this year in Portsmouth, NH.
Good times with friends at 106 at night and a delicious breakfast at the Friendly toast.
We walked around downtown and the Ice sculptures were amazing!
My friends are amazing, and I realize that I don't spend enough time with them. One of my friends told me that her new years resolution is to work less and hang out with friends more, because life is too short. And it really is. It is already 2012, and it is so important to see friends and family before we can't.
Mike is there for me more than he knows. I worry about everything. But when he's around, I don't need to worry anymore.
My new years resolution is to live in the moment, and not worry about yesterday, or what is happening tomorrow.
I just finished a book by Eckhart Tolle called, "The Power of Now." Such a simple concept that we take for granted.
Here's an excerpt I found particularly interesting:
"Most human relationships consist mainly of minds interacting with eachother, not of human beings communicating, being in communion. No relationship can thrive in that way, and that is why there is so much conflict in relationships. When the mind is running your life, conflict, strife, and problems are inevitable. Being in touch with your inner body creates a clear space of no-mind within which the relationship can flower."
We started new years day with some coffee in our new mugs we got.
Let's raise our glass to a new year full of hope, health, love, family, friends, and success!
